How Telecare can Assist People with Dementia.
17 October 2007
Telecare is the latest technology that can support service users who have Dementia, disabilities and mental health related problems
Telecare gives comfort and peace of mind to the carers, parents and families who look after them.
Telecare employs sensors and automated devices that enables the well being of an individual to be monitored enabling them to live as independently as possible within their own home.
It is linked up to the lifeline control room which responds to any of the Telecare alarms that are activated by the service user when there is a problem, twenty four hours a day seven days a week.
The people who would benefit from the Telecare service include people with disabilities, mobility impairments, prone to falls, cognitive difficulties, and sensory impairments many of which will support the older population.
