Merthyr Tydfil Development Fund             

The Merthyr Tydfil Development Fund is now open for applications. The fund is aimed at voluntary organisations and community groups working in the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil and grants will be between £5,000 and £25,000. Grants can be for revenue, capital or a mixture of both.

The deadline for applications is Friday 12th February 2010 and successful applicants will be awarded grants in April 2010.

 

Eligible Projects

The project must be of benefit to the residents of the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil and meet one or more of the following themes:

• Strengthening the capacity of local communities to help themselves.
• Promoting social inclusion for disadvantaged groups.
• Support development of services to benefit the community.
• Opportunities for acquiring new skills and learning.
• Promote sustainable development
• Demonstrate partnerships

Please Note:

If you have had a Development Fund grant in the last three years you will be ineligible to apply in 2010 / 11.

 

If your project requires other funding to be implemented this funding must be in place before you apply to the Merthyr Tydfil Development Fund.

 

You must be able to spend the grant before the end of April 2011.

In order to request an application pack, could you please complete the attached Expression of Interest Form (EOI) and return to the Orbit Business Centre, Rhydycar Business Park, Merthyr Tydfil CF48 1DL or to economicdevelopment@merthyr.gov.uk.  An application pack will be distribution upon receipt of your EOI.
