FREE Security Service to Over 50's

Safer Merthyr Tydfil would like to remind residents of Merthyr Tydfil that HOMESAFE provides a FREE security service to all those over the age of 50.

The Homesafe team consists of three experienced and highly qualified security fitters.

Homesafe works in partnership with the Police, Local Authority, Help the Aged, Victim Support and other statutory and voluntary organisations. It is this pro-active partnership approach to crime prevention and community safety that has helped to achieve a massive 60% reduction in domestic burglary since the project began in 1995.

Services we offer include:

• A FREE property survey to ensure your door and window locks comply to insurance standards and we’ll change them for FREE if they don’t comply

• FREE door chains

• FREE door viewers for wooden doors only

• FREE letterbox lock that can prevent unwanted items being pushed into the home

• FREE Intercom Systems (depending on area funding)
