Business Support Officer – 37 1/2 hrs PW

Salary -  £23825pa + Pension

The Business Support Officer will have overall responsibility for the fundraising and finance for the charity and its services.  Duties will also include deputising for the Centre Manager when required, overseeing the organisation’s charity shops and promoting the organisation throughout the Merthyr Tydfil borough.

The postholder will be required to undertake some evening & weekend work.

Job Role

The Business Support Officer will have overall responsibility for the fundraising and finance for the charity and its services. Duties will include; identifying and maximising fundraising opportunities to continue to meet the revenue costs of the organisation for its future sustainability, to be innovative in developing future revenue streams by identifying any possible business opportunities and further development of the organisation’s charity shops, to work with anyone undertaking fundraising for Cancer Aid Merthyr Tydfil and ensure that any events are published/acknowledged as appropriate, to deputise for the Centre Manager when required, maintain sound financial systems and market the charity within the Merthyr Tydfil borough. 

The postholder will be required to work flexibly including evenings and weekends.
