Merthyr Tydfil Local Development Plan
As part of work contributing to the Merthyr Tydfil Local Development Plan the Council is seeking comments on the Sustainability Appraisals of alternative sites that were submitted to Council from other parties.
A Sustainability Appraisal (SA) is an assessment of a proposal that looks at the sustainability of a development against a range of pre-defined sustainability objectives. The SA’s you have chance to comment on have been submitted by the parties that have proposed the sites and not by the Council.

Comments in respect of these Sustainability Appraisals must be made in writing and either posted to the Head of Town Planning, Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Tŷ Keir Hardie, Riverside Court, Avenue de Clichy, Merthyr Tydfil, CF47 8XF or sent by e-mail to devplanning@merthyr.gov.uk.
Representations at this stage must relate only to the sustainability appraisals. Any other representations will be disregarded as they should have been made during the earlier stages of plan preparation.
Representations must be received by 4 p.m. on Thursday 11 March and should specify clearly the matters to which they relate. Any representations received after this date will not be considered.
