The Forum was formed in the latter part of 2008 following a consultation event around financial inclusion, and complements the intention of the Welsh Assembly Government to tackle this subject matter.

Membership
The Merthyr Tydfil Financial Inclusion Forum is open to all individuals and organisations in the County Borough who are involved in providing or funding financial inclusion services, or who are interested in developing this area of work. The Forum aims to be recognised as the leading source of knowledge and good practice, and deliver real tangible benefits for the people of Merthyr Tydfil.
Third sector organisations participating in the Forum are encouraged to become members of VAMT, and can register by downloading and completing an application form [here].
Statutory partners are also welcome to engage with the Forum for the benefit of partnership working, information sharing and networking.

The Forum is seeking to build a pool of representatives to engage in Borough-wide planning groups and fora. To see an outline of the role and commitment required click [here].
