Community Safety Awards
The Police Authority runs an annual Community Safety Volunteer of the Year award scheme. The aim of these is to award the outstanding people in our communities who voluntarily work to keep our streets safe. Nominations are now invited for the awards.
This year, we have four categories, as follows:

Young Volunteer
Outstanding volunteer work carried out in relation to community safety by a young person (Aged 21 or under on 23 July 2010)
Volunteer Team
Outstanding work carried out by a team of volunteers in relation to community safety. A ‘team’ consists of two or more people.
Volunteer Initiative
Outstanding initiative, or piece of work, carried out by volunteers which has had a positive effect on community safety.
Nominations can be made online via our website: www.southwalespoliceauthority.org.uk or by completing the attached nomination form and returning it to me. The closing date for nominations is Friday 23 July.
Please can you pass on this information to anyone in your local community who may be interested in the award scheme. If you need hard copies of the nomination form, please let me know.
