What is the Carers Strategy Network?
The Carers Network meets quarterly; the network is made up of representatives from the Cwm Taf Health Board, Voluntary sector, Local Authority and Carers.
The Network identifies the issues that carers have in their role and address them in the strategy. It puts the issues into actions plans which all partners work on and try to deliver effective services.
The aim of the Strategy is:
- to deliver better services for carers
- to ensure that carers of all ages are aware of their rights
- to ensure that carers are at the top of the main agendas
- to keep raising the profile of the work that carers are doing
The 2012 to 2017 Carers Strategy has been developed and will commence in April 2012
A new Carers Information Booklet has been developed providing information and advice on services available to Carers throughout the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil and is available here.
A Carers newsletter is produced twice a year with current information for Carers and the most recent copy is available here.
