Manifesto published 2008
In 2002 when the Framework for Children and Young People’s Partnerships (CYPPs) was set up, Welsh Assembly guidelines stated that the third sector should have representation.
In Merthyr Tydfil the Children and Young People’s Voluntary Organisations Forum (CYPVOF) responded by developing a Manifesto to demonstrate its strengths and to identify a way forward by promoting strong networks and partnership working. The Manifesto was developed using a “bottom-up” approach where organisations working with children, young people and families consulted with their client groups and the results were fed into the final document.
As a sector we hope that our partners will identify areas of common interest and work together with us to improve the life chances for the children young people and families in Merthyr Tydfil.
